Sign Installations

Given the company’s reputation for fabrication of high quality signage,  It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Sun Sign Company would also excel at the installation of signs.  David Williams, owner of Sun Sign Company explains:

"Some may discount the important step of sign installation thinking  how tough could it be to hoist a sign in the air and stick a couple of bolts in it?  But, truth is:

  • Safe sign installations start with robust preparation and planning.  Engineers  tell us how many bolts it takes to secure a sign under a wind or snow load, how big  the bolts should be and the composition of steel making up the bolts.  We follow their plan.
  • Next, the weather has to be favorable. While we don't have much control over Mother Nature we have become astute at reading the sky and the storm radar with our Smart Phones to be assured that we have a favorable window of time within a day to get our work completed.
  • Our trucks have to be skillfully and thoughtfully loaded with tools and equipment for doing what's expected and facing some unexpected challenges along the way.  It's never good to be  making multiple trips to and from the jobsite to gather tools and supplies that should have already been on the truck.
  • Safety gear  such as fall harnesses and lanyards need inspected daily  –  In short, the crew must be safe at all times and hydrated especially on hot humid days. We procure only the best equipment for our guys and pack a cooler full of goodies to keep them happy and healthy.
  • Our installers must be well trained and continually training  in their own disciplines.  We employ courteous and drug-free craftsmen -electricians certified by the IBEW, welders, crane operators, riggers,  and signalers, all experts in their respective fields.  Likewise, our  equipment is top notch and maintained on a regular basis.  All trucks and trailers, boom lifts, cranes and rigging represent an investment we have made to keep our people and jobsites safe and our work on time and on budget."

Williams continues, “Anyone who has gone  high in the air on an amusement park ride can recall that sick feeling in the pit of their stomach when the stuff on the ground looked tiny and they knew a fall from such a high place would maim or kill them.  Yet, routinely, our guys work more than 100’ in the air trusting their lives to our trucks and equipment.  I don’t take that lightly,”

When considering a sign installation company for  a project, it’s important to select the  company with a team of installers  that can do the job right the first time. For most businesses  sign  work represents a large investment, and one needs to make certain the company has the skill and equipment to protect its investment.   To date, Sun Sign Company is accident free.  They have never dropped a sign or broken a glass.  A record such as this comes only by following best practices, doing daily inspections and having a crew that takes the plan and the work seriously.

"Our guys really  are the best," says Williams. "They have  hundreds of sign  installs under their belts and they are adding to the number everyday.  In fact, we are the first call for sign installations among many large national retailers
